Getting started
Create your first team task together
You do not need to plan the whole week in one sitting. Start with one small piece of work that everyone understands.
Four small steps to your first task
Once you have signed in, start with Teams and Projects.
- Create your team in Teams and invite the people you will be working with.
- Create a project for your shared work in Projects. Check that the people who will take part can access that project.
- Add a task to the project. Give it a title that describes the work, rather than just “Presentation”; select assignees, add an estimate and set start and due dates.
- Review the start options and any review requirements, then save the task. If you chose manual start, start your timer when you begin working.
Agree on what finished looks like
Use the description to answer “What will be ready when this is done?” For example, “Five slides and checked speaker notes” gives a teammate a useful place to start.
Selecting an assignee does not start their timer remotely. Each person uses the acceptance and start options available on the task to begin their own work. A project’s required review policy cannot be switched off on an individual task.
